Camps
Students from Years 5 to 6 are offered
the opportunity to participate in school camps. Camps promote the physical,
social and emotional well-being of our students. While at camp, students
participate in a variety of activities such as horse riding, slack-lining, mini
golf, survivor mud courses, low rope challenges and laser skirmish.
The cost of camp is approximately $300 each
student.
Excursions and incursions
Teachers are encouraged to organise
excursions and/or incursions for their students throughout the year. Excursions
and incursions are planned in conjunction with the curriculum intent, so that
the students may acquire a variety of experiences to extend their current
learning. Excursions and incursions are timetabled into the school calendar and
permission and payment details are issued each term.
Excursions are many and varied:- the
Planetarium, Youth Sustainability Summit, Out of the Box at QPAC, Ipswich Art
Gallery, Literature and Story Arts Festivals, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary are but
a few.
Excursions
and Incursions range in cost from approximately $8 to $30 each student.
Please
refer to our school calendar and newsletter for upcoming camps and
excursions and incursions.
